The main point in working with environment for me is to understand its character, its leading idea. In the following, this idea may not be visibly demonstrated, but it leads me, and then the viewer, forward. If i think about a coast, i do not have to paint it blue, but a person, that appears in this interior, has to feel, through light and mood, that the sea is somewhere near.
